Job description

Epic Aircraft is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer for its IT team. The role builds and maintains web-based software, integrations, and AI tools that support manufacturing operations, while modernizing legacy applications and maintaining the underlying platform.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain web applications that support and optimize manufacturing operations, from the database to the user interface, while ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness

Build, refine, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to keep production, inventory, and cost data accurate and the system efficient

Migrate legacy desktop applications and services to the web platform: work out the existing business rules and data flows, then replace them without disrupting production

Build background services and integrations that connect our systems with each other, with shop-floor hardware, and with outside tools

Use AI-assisted development in your daily work, and help build AI tools for the business, such as local LLM and RAG systems built on company documents

Diagnose and resolve technical issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement bug fixes to maintain reliable software and services

Maintain the platform our applications run on: servers, containers, networking, security, and databases

Collaborate with teams across the company to gather requirements, analyze feedback, and implement software improvements that deliver effective solutions

Contribute to a small, dynamic team with broad responsibilities, influencing multiple aspects of the company's operations
