AI Engineer

The JAAW Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office and the War Data Platform Core Integration effort. The AI Engineer will design, develop, integrate, deploy, and operate AI capabilities in secure Department of Defense environments while collaborating with machine learning, data, software, cloud, and cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain AI/ML lifecycle services and reusable components

Develop infrastructure supporting the training, validation, deployment, and operation of AI/ML models

Support model-serving platforms and efficient model inference

Design and implement automated AI/ML pipelines

Develop capabilities for model monitoring, explainability, and interpretability

Implement MLOps practices supporting continuous integration and deployment of models

Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines support AI/ML requirements

Develop testing frameworks and maintain technical documentation for AI/ML capabilities

Preferred

Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government environments

Experience with MLOps and automated model deployment pipelines

Experience with model-serving or inference capabilities

Experience with model monitoring, explainability, and performance optimization

Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise software or data platforms

Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding

U.S. citizenship required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience developing, integrating, or supporting AI/ML systems

Experience with AI/ML development tools, frameworks, or platforms

Understanding of model development, deployment, inference, testing, and monitoring

Strong programming, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government environments

Experience with MLOps and automated model deployment pipelines

Experience with model-serving or inference capabilities

Experience with model monitoring, explainability, and performance optimization

Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise software or data platforms
