ETL Developer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows to extract data from multiple source systems

Transform and load structured and semi-structured data into data warehouses and data lakes

Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts

Perform data cleansing, validation, mapping, and reconciliation

Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability

Integrate data from databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud-based sources

Troubleshoot ETL failures and resolve data quality and integration issues

Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, BI developers, and database administrators

Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery procedures

Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and workflow specifications

Support production deployments, scheduled jobs, and ongoing data operations

Follow data security, governance, and compliance standards

Preferred

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or scripting languages

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in ETL development or data integration

Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and performance tuning

Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or IBM DataStage

Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design

Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting

Understanding of batch processing, incremental loads, and CDC (Change Data Capture)

Familiarity with Git, version control, and deployment practices

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or scripting languages

3+ years of experience in ETL development or data integration.
