Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design and project efforts for educational, healthcare, institutional, and commercial facilities, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems, including lighting, power, and life safety, for renovations, new facilities, and modernization projects that support real client needs

Apply your technical expertise to load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects

Lead electrical projects and contribute to quality through thoughtful QA/QC of design work

Mentor and guide junior engineers as they develop their technical skills and project experience

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, client-focused designs

Qualifications

At least 5 years of electrical design experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

New York State Professional Engineer

Experience supporting K-12, higher education, healthcare, institutional, and/or commercial projects in the New York market

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft

Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines, including proficiency with the National Electrical Code

A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to delivering quality work

Clear communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and balance competing project needs

Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative

Interest in providing technical mentorship and supporting the growth of less-experienced engineers

A practical, solutions-oriented approach to solving problems effectively and in a timely manner

At least 5 years of electrical design experience.
