Senior Electrical Engineer

Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on designing lasting solutions for pressing challenges. The Senior Electrical Engineer performs complex building systems design, makes independent technical decisions, leads project engineering activities, and mentors junior staff. The role also involves technical analyses, equipment evaluations, multidisciplinary coordination, and project technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct complex engineering assignments requiring independent judgment

Supervise, cordinate, and review work of Engineers, Designers, and CAD Operators

Develop technical reports, studies, and system analyses

Evaluate substitute equipment and review system adjustments after installation

Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate across all trades

Perform engineering designs, calculations, and evaluations with advanced techniques

Mentor junior engineers and support project technical leadership

This role provides technical leadership, mentors junior staff, conducts calculations and system analyses, evaluates equipment and system performance, and represents the firm in meetings requiring coordination across all design disciplines

The Senior Engineer ensures that project designs meet quality standards, client expectations, and engineering best practices

Professional Engineering License (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred

Revit experience
