Senior Electrical Engineer

Sterling Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support data center and mission-critical projects. The role designs reliable electrical systems and supports projects from design through completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for data center and mission-critical projects

Perform electrical engineering calculations and analyses

Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents

Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution

Investigate and troubleshoot engineering issues, developing practical solutions

Review designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements

Communicate effectively with internal teams and project stakeholders

Support projects from design through completion while maintaining quality and schedule expectations

8+ years preferred

Experience with data center projects preferred

Experience with mission-critical facilities or substation engineering is highly preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

5+ years of electrical engineering experience

Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

Proficiency with engineering software, tools, and industry methodologies

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

8+ years preferred

Experience with data center projects preferred

Experience with mission-critical facilities or substation engineering is highly preferred
