Clinical Trials Coordinator

The Clinical Trials Coordinator recruits participants for clinical treatment trials focused on serious mental illnesses and coordinates one or more trials, including managing participants throughout the clinical trial process.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is recruitment of participants for current clinical treatment trials investigating the effectiveness of new treatments for serious mental illnesses including depression, schizophrenia and complex trauma disorder (also known as borderline personality disorder)

The position will also be responsible for coordination of one or more clinical trials, including management of participants through the clinical trial process

Qualifications

A degree in a relevant health science field with subsequent relevant work experience in mental health, nursing or other allied health discipline

Demonstrated experience in subject recruitment with proven ability to establish rapport with patients

Clinical trials experience including experience in subject recruitment and retention

A demonstrated capacity to work in a collegiate and cooperative manner

High level organisational skills – demonstrated capacity to establish and achieve goals

Good written and oral communication skills

Planning and organisational skills – ability to priorities multiple tasks and set and meet deadlines
