Job description
Duolingo is hiring a Strategy & Business Operations Manager to shape company strategy and help advance its long-term priorities. The role develops and assesses opportunities, establishes metrics and decision frameworks, and partners with cross-functional leaders to turn strategic plans into execution.
Responsibilities
Develop actionable strategies: collaborate with cross-functional leaders to combine market understanding, user insights, and product vision into strategies that teams will pursue to achieve Duolingo's mission
Sprint to assess opportunities & markets: identify and assess compelling opportunities for Duolingo. This spans problem-space definition, hypothesis generation, industry research, execution and iteration
Lead with data, structure, and judgment: establish success metrics, build clear frameworks, and make trade-offs across competing priorities
Partner cross-functionally: work closely with product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, data science, and finance
Learn and grow: rapidly gain new skills, methods, and industry learnings as you deliver world-class strategy work alongside talented colleagues across disciplines
Preferred
Strong knowledge of and passion for the consumer tech industry
Experience with mobile apps and subscription-based services
Experience working with global / international teams
Experience leading cross-functional projects in a high-growth environment

3+ years of professional experience, ideally in strategy, business operations, consulting, product, or a related field
