Research Associate

Montefiore Einstein Technology is seeking a Research Associate to provide critical support to the Principal Investigator and Senior Project Manager across multiple Community-Based Participatory Research projects. The role involves engaging community leaders, managing data, and ensuring seamless project operations while contributing to research outputs and community partnerships.

Responsibilities

Coordinate research activities, including participant recruitment, screening, and consent management in compliance with institutional guidelines

Manage data collection and analysis using SurveyMonkey, Dedoose, and REDCap

Prepare manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and grant proposals; develop presentations and reports for funding agencies

Conduct literature reviews and contribute to survey question development and build surveys in survey monkey and redcap

Maintain accurate documentation and source materials

Facilitate community conversations and codesign sessions

Support administrative tasks and resolve issues proactively

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required

3+ years of experience in research coordination

2-5+ years of community engagement experience

In-depth knowledge of IRB processes

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal)

Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing shifting priorities

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions

Professional interpersonal skills for engaging diverse individuals and teams

MPH preferred; postdoctoral candidates encouraged to apply

3+ years of experience in research coordination.

2-5+ years of community engagement experience.
