Biostatistician

Responsibilities

Process and analyze healthcare data using R or Python

Clean, organize, validate, merge, and consolidate datasets to support accurate statistical analysis

Query and extract data across sources, complete routine data refreshes, and document data management procedures

Collaborate with investigators, clients, and project teams to clarify research and business needs, identify relevant variables, and support the development of outcome and process measures

Calculate metrics and summary statistics, conduct descriptive and other statistical analyses, and interpret findings

Develop statistical programs, contribute to analysis plans, and coordinate data management and analysis activities with programmers

Provide statistical consultation regarding analytical methods, statistical programs, and interpretation of results

Prepare reports, visualizations, presentations, and written summaries that clearly communicate findings

Contribute methods and results sections for scientific publications and present statistical methods and findings to research teams

Support the development, improvement, and automation of reporting solutions

Maintain documentation of analytical processes and deliverables, communicate progress, meet deadlines, and escalate issues as appropriate

Share statistical knowledge through mentoring, presentations, or training, and support senior statisticians in developing statistical methods

Continue developing expertise in statistical methods and software through ongoing learning

Preferred

Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Health, or Data Science
