Job description
Compunnel Inc. is recruiting a Business Analyst for an unnamed client in Manhattan. The role serves as a liaison between business users and delivery teams, gathering and refining requirements and supporting backlog management, testing, and solution validation.
Responsibilities
Elicit, document and validate business and functional requirements through workshops and interviews
Produce user stories, process flows, wireframe inputs and acceptance criteria
Maintain requirements traceability from business need through testing
Partner with the Product Manager to groom and prioritize the backlog
Work with UX, engineering and QA to clarify requirements and resolve questions
Support user acceptance testing and validate delivered features
Perform gap, impact and data analysis to support decisions
Hand off context and requirements to the offshore Business Analyst
Preferred
SQL or data analysis experience is a plus
CBAP, PMI-PBA or similar certification preferred

Qualifications
4+ years as a Business Analyst in software or digital delivery
Strong requirements, process modeling and documentation skills
Experience with Agile methods and tools such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements
Strong facilitation and communication skills

Process modeling
User acceptance testing
Jira / Confluence
Gap analysis
Stakeholder workshops
SQL or data analysis experience is a plus
CBAP, PMI-PBA or similar certification preferred
