Epic Clinical Informatics & Reporting Consultant

Career Soft Solutions Inc is recruiting for an unnamed client seeking an Epic Clinical Informatics & Reporting Consultant for AATD research. The role focuses on analyzing patient diagnoses, orders, test usage, and encounter notes, and identifying existing Epic tools and workflows that could support appropriate AATD testing.

Responsibilities

Run reports for the past 2 years for patients with ICD-10 code E88.01

For matched patients within your health systems, provide details on what orders were typically placed and their timing

How often is the Alpha-1 Serum test (82103) ordered in general? What ICD-10 codes are typically associated with it?

If the test is ordered, please share sample encounter notes to help identify commonalities in ordering patterns across providers and health systems

Do any of your teams or organizations have AATD-specific SmartSets, Care Pathways, or Protocols?

Any specific SmartSets?

Any specific Care Pathway (created by Epic? In Epic Community?)

Any existing OPA's based on the below criteria (right side of image)?

Are there any built RWB reports that use some/all of the criteria? SD?

Are all the criteria in discrete fields?

Anything not in a discrete field (ie reads or comes back in PDF format)

Any UCSF-built literature regarding AADT?

IMPORTANT-- how does the PiZZ test play into this. Is it in Epic as an orderable item? what type of doctor (FP? Hep?) orders the PiZZ? Pulmonologist?

Apparently there are 3 treatment pathways (Just Lung, Just Liver and BOTH Liver and Lung)

What's the flow from a Fam Doc referred to a specialist? What type(s) of Specialists? Gastro? Hep? Pulm?
