Microsoft is seeking a Senior Strategy & Transformation Manager for its AI-First Operating Model team. The role leads workstreams to design and test future-state operating models, develop evidence-based strategies and recommendations, and drive adoption of AI-first ways of working across the organization.
Responsibilities
You will think boldly about how work could be done differently, opening the aperture to what is possible with AI and pressure-testing the status quo rather than optimizing around it
You will lead a cross-functional team to define the future-state, AI-first operating model for assigned workstreams, including the vision, workflows, requirements and roadmap from today’s model to that future
You will provide frameworks, methodologies, and advisory support to business teams, equipping them to apply a consistent approach to designing and adopting AI-first ways of working
You will critically assess the current state, develop and evaluate future-state options, and pressure-test recommendations to ensure rigorous, feasible, and grounded in evidence
You will conduct strategic analyses and integrate external research and best practice on AI-first operating models with Microsoft’s own data and input so recommendations are evidence-based
You will partner cross-functionally with business teams, technology teams, HR, and Finance to develop strategies and requirements that span people, process and technology
You will manage the project end to end, scoping deliverables, running an agile teaming model, communicating program status and risk to stakeholders, and creating the mechanisms for visibility and accountability for progress and outcomes
You will embed change management into the program approach, and influence and manage change with key stakeholders across the organization
You will develop written documents, build end-to-end storylines, and deliver findings and recommendations to senior and executive-level leaders through presentations and communications
You will design experiments to test new operating models and ways of working, then scale what works – testing, learning and acting with urgency to turn hypotheses into answers and outcomes
You will advance the AI-First culture agenda, ensuring the organization understands how to embrace AI-first ways of working to amplify every employee’s impact and outcomes we deliver
You will experiment with and adopt AI in your own work, modeling the AI-first behaviors the organization is being asked to adopt and bringing what you learn back into the operating model
