Microsoft is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead competitive intelligence across identity, identity governance, threat detection, and network access security. The role translates market and customer evidence into product recommendations, positioning, and field guidance, including for securing AI.
Responsibilities
Identity and network access vendors are expanding into securing AI, from governing AI agents to controlling how people use AI apps. You’ll track how platform and specialist competitors are evolving across IAM, governance, and SSE, and what that means for Microsoft
You’ll work with Entra product marketing and engineering to turn that insight into decisions on how Microsoft secures AI agents and AI access: where to invest, what to improve, and how to position. You'll ground recommendations in customer conversations, win/loss analysis, field feedback, and market signals
You’ll build the vendor analyses, technical briefs, and battlecards sellers use against identity, governance, and SSE competitors, including in evaluations focused on securing AI. You’ll support priority deals where competitive insight can change the outcome, using AI to keep pace with the market while staying accountable for accuracy
Preferred
Technical depth in identity and/or network access security, such as SSO/MFA and conditional access, identity governance and lifecycle (IGA), privileged access, ITDR, or SSE/SASE technologies including ZTNA, secure web gateway, and CASB
Familiarity with securing AI, such as agent and non-human identities or AI app access controls, is a plus
Experience in competitive intelligence, technical product marketing, or structured market evaluation, including designing competitive evaluations, use-case tests, or benchmarks and separating reproducible evidence from vendor claims
Strong analytical judgment and synthesis skills, with the ability to combine technical, customer, market, and commercial evidence; communicate uncertainty; and translate complex findings into positioning, product recommendations, sales guidance, and executive narratives
Demonstrated ability to influence across engineering, product, marketing, and sales stakeholders in a matrixed environment, with clear written communication and effective presentations for both technical and executive audiences
Relevant identity, networking, or security certifications can complement practical experience
