Network Engineer II

CPI Card Group is seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance its enterprise network infrastructure. The role combines network engineering and operational support to maintain reliability, implement improvements, and support critical business operations across a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and VPN solutions

Maintain and optimize network performance, reliability, and capacity

Perform ongoing maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a production environment

Support incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call responsibilities

Ensure network configurations meet security and compliance requirements

Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement efforts

Preferred

Experience with Cisco (including Meraki), Palo Alto networking platforms (including IONs and Panorama), Arista (including CloudVision), or comparable technologies

Familiarity with PCI compliance requirements

Familiarity with LogicMonitor

Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking environments

Familiarity with scripting or automation tools

Qualifications

5+ years of network engineering and/or operations experience

Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies

Experience supporting enterprise, multi-site network environments

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership

Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams

Detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and hygiene

Proactive in identifying and addressing issues before they impact the business

Reliable and accountable, especially in high-impact situations
