Network Engineer II

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and ISIS across the enterprise network

Configure and support multi-vendor firewall platforms including Juniper and Fortinet

Deploy and manage Routing & Switching infrastructure from vendors including Juniper and Cisco

Install, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless networks to ensure reliable, secure Wi-Fi coverage for all users

Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex problems

Assist in the development and implementation of network automation

Perform network changes following established change management procedures

Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues

Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures

Participating in network projects and technology refresh initiatives

Provide support during on-call rotation for critical infrastructure and occasional off-hours maintenance windows

Preferred

Experience with Juniper and Cisco

JNCIA, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT

Familiarity with network automation tools such as Mist, AWX, Python, Ansible, Security Director Cloud

Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies

Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Understanding of data center networking concepts

Familiarity with network monitoring platforms (DataDog, Zabbix, Splunk)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Qualifications

JNCIP-ENT, CCNP, or equivalent professional-level certification, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience at that level

5-7 years of firsthand experience implementing and supporting enterprise networks

Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, and ISIS routing protocols

Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortinet)

Working knowledge of switching technologies including MP-BGP EVPN, VXLAN, VLANs, spanning tree, and link aggregation

Experience supporting enterprise Wi-Fi networks, with working knowledge of wireless standards, security protocols, and networking fundamentals

Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Strong work ethic

Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
