Network Engineer- Local Bay Area OR Virginia Candidates

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain high-density data center networks utilizing Mellanox switches and adapters

Administer and optimize network nodes running Cumulus Linux, ensuring stable and high-performance routing and switching

Manage and orchestrate network operations using Netris for automated, controller-based networking

Monitor and tune network performance for real-time systems, with a focus on throughput and latency

Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) to protect infrastructure and data assets

Develop automation workflows to eliminate manual configuration, improve consistency, and accelerate deployment cycles

3+ years of professional network engineering experience (6+ years for Senior-level consideration)

Deep familiarity with Mellanox Spectrum switches and ConnectX adapters

Strong proficiency in Cumulus Linux (Debian-based) and general Linux system administration

Hands-on experience with Netris for VPC-style networking on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments

Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and LACP

Proficiency in Python or Go for network automation

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

3+ years of professional network engineering experience (6+ years for Senior-level consideration).
