IT Network Engineer - Memphis

SpaceXSI is hiring a network engineer to support and expand its campus, data center, and wireless infrastructure. The role focuses on designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and automating reliable, redundant wired and wireless networks.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of large-scale, complex wired and wireless networks

Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks

Troubleshoot wired/wireless networking-related issues

Support the deployment of network access control (NAC) using 802.1X

Develop and enforce network policies and standards

Plan and prepare project roadmaps

Develop network automation tools to support our enterprise network

Monitor network health using in-house and third-party tools

Create and maintain proper documentation of our networks

Preferred

Expert understanding of the OSI model and network standards

Cisco Catalyst, Juniper, and Arista data center-class switches

Cisco wireless LAN controllers or other wireless technologies

Network Access Control (NAC) using 802.1X

Wave Division Multiplexing and Fiber Optics

DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IP helpers, ARP, CDP, LLDP

BGP routing

Switch port security features

Network monitoring tools

Network documentation

Linux/Windows system administration

Experience with Python scripting
