Python Engineer

Avenue Code is seeking a Python Engineer to develop and maintain internal services and rebuild and improve a DevOps application. The role focuses on making developer environment management more effective for content delivery while delivering improvements on project timelines.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve internal services using Python and Flask

Troubleshoot issues and make services more reliable and maintainable

Rebuild and enhance an existing DevOps application

Improve how developers create and manage environments to support content delivery use cases

Work with developers and other stakeholders to understand pain points and turn them into practical improvements

Break down requirements into actionable work and communicate progress and blockers clearly

Deliver improvements against project timelines while maintaining code quality

Preferred

Experience building internal platforms or tools for engineering teams

Familiarity with content delivery workflows

Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices

Qualifications

Hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications or services with Python and Flask

Experience improving existing applications, including working through legacy code and technical challenges

Familiarity with developer tooling, DevOps workflows, or environment management

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and deliver in a deadline-driven environment

Clear communication and collaboration skills
