Frontend Software Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities

Powerful analysis in the browser. You will build user experiences which help engineers to interactively explore data on time scales ranging from nanoseconds to years, to compare test events, and to calculate derived channels on the fly

Performance. You will fight to retain excellent performance despite plotting thousands of series at the same time, having multiple kinds of visualizations on screen, and showing supporting entities like markers in time

Application state. You will design how to manage application state to support data selection, filtering, calculations, plot layouts, shared views, and much more while keeping the interface and workflows understandable for end users

Learn how hardware engineers explore and analyze telemetry

Define a vision for an elegant user interface which makes common workflows intuitive while giving expert users powerful tools

Ship and iterate on analysis workflows with hardware engineers

Build data visualization plugins for a variety of use cases (e.g. numeric timeseries, console logs, videos, maps, custom binary viewers, and more)

Prototype and evaluate LLM-assisted analysis workflows with customers

Work directly with customers to understand their needs, to demo prototypes, and to use customer feedback to guide iteration

Preferred

Experience with time series visualization, data-analysis tools, or performance-intensive browser applications is a plus

You want to work directly with users and understand the engineering problems behind their requests

You've demonstrated technical depth through something you built—in a job, research, coursework, open source, or an independent project
