Data Engineer - DataStage ETL

ComResource is seeking a DataStage ETL Engineer to design, build, maintain, and improve data management systems. The role develops data processes, models, and analytics applications, integrates technologies, and collaborates with technical teams to meet business requirements and improve data reliability and quality.

Responsibilities

Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems

Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes

Ensure that all systems meet business requirements as well as industry best practices

Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures

Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production

Create custom software components and analytics applications

Research new uses for existing data

Employ a variety of technological languages and tools to connect systems together

Collaborate with team members including data architects, IT team members, and data scientists on project goals

Install and update disaster recovery procedures

Recommend ways to continuously improve data reliability and quality

Qualifications

Technical degree or related work experience

Experience with non-relational and relational databases including SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, and MongoDB

Experience programming and/or architecting a backend language such as Java or J2EE

Business analysis and business intelligence experience
