Senior Software Engineer - Java/SQL

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance software products that provide mission-critical rental and pricing capabilities. The role includes production application support, software development and testing, and collaboration with engineering and application-support teams to maintain secure, reliable systems.

Responsibilities

Resolve problems that arise with production applications in a timely manner to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components

Perform general maintenance of existing systems ensuring compliance and supportability

Collaborate on Operational Support projects to maintain infrastructure health and stability

Participate in trouble-shooting conversations, asking questions and providing input

Work with managers and team members to meet development standards

Support of on-call rotations and production problem trouble shooting

Implement software engineering solutions to meet requirements and architectural direction

Code and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution, as well as compliance with the business and technical requirements

Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met

Migrate applications to quality assurance and/or the production environment, or perform quality assurance as necessary

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

Experience with JavaScript/Typescript

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tool

Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Web Services SOAP and/or Rest

Experience with middleware technologies like WebLogic and Tomcat

Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and/or EasyMock

Experience with EM applications ECARS or Odyssey or other Res/Rental applications

Knowledge of AWS and cloud providers such as Amazon, Azure or IBM

Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and end-to-end testing

Understanding of core object-oriented programming principles

3+ years of Java related development experience

2+ years of experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts

2+ years of experience working with SQL (Ex: Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, or Mongo DB)

Experience with middleware technologies, such as WebLogic and Tomcat

Experience working with enterprise-wide systems

Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
