Java Backend Developer

SCI SOLUTIONS GLOBAL is seeking a hands-on Java Backend Developer to support a highly technical internal Fraud Risk application. The role focuses on developing and maintaining enterprise backend applications, microservices, REST APIs, AWS-based applications, SQL queries, batch-processing workflows, and production support operations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot

Build and maintain scalable microservices and REST APIs

Develop and support applications running on AWS

Work with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, and EKS

Develop and optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database issues

Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root cause analysis

Support batch-processing applications and data workflows

Collaborate with engineering, platform, compliance, and business teams

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities

Contribute to application reliability, performance, and maintainability

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot

Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs

Hands-on experience with AWS

AWS S3

AWS Lambda

AWS EMR

AWS EKS

Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills

Experience debugging enterprise applications

Production support and troubleshooting experience

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
