Job description
Raydar is recruiting for its client, a financial technology company. The Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and deliver backend services for a payments platform while contributing to architecture, infrastructure, monitoring, and cross-platform engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities
Build and run backend server applications and components from initial design through production
Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend services and infrastructure, and help set engineering standards
Work directly with leadership, product and fellow engineers in whiteboarding sessions and technical discussions
Improve real-time monitoring and alerting so the team can understand usage and iterate on the product
Take on varied projects across the platform rather than staying within a single product area
Preferred
Background at a reputable, growing technology company, ideally an early-stage startup

Qualifications
About 2 years or more of backend or full stack engineering experience
Track record of owning and building scalable backend systems end to end
Experience in fintech or payments infrastructure
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Production experience with containers and container orchestration
Proficiency in Go or Node.js
Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud infrastructure
Clear communicator with strong technical convictions who is comfortable debating ideas in a fast-moving environment
Background at a reputable, growing technology company, ideally an early-stage startup
About 2 years or more of backend or full stack engineering experience.
