Python Engineer

Access Search, Inc. is recruiting for a technology-driven financial services firm seeking a Software Engineer for its Business Planning & Analytics team. The role focuses on building backend applications, data pipelines, automation, and reporting tools that support finance, operations, and business analytics.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications, tools, and automation solutions that support finance, operations, and business analytics functions

Build and optimize data pipelines, databases, and backend systems that enable efficient data processing, reporting, and analysis

Develop dashboards, data visualization tools, and reporting solutions that provide stakeholders with actionable business insights

Partner with cross functional teams to enhance existing systems, improve workflows, and deliver scalable technology solutions

Contribute to software development best practices, CI/CD processes, and modern engineering initiatives across the organization

Preferred

Experience with React or other modern front end frameworks

Exposure to financial systems, trading environments, or financial data

Experience with AI, machine learning, or agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor

Experience building business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization solutions

Ability to combine technical expertise with strong business acumen and stakeholder collaboration skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or another quantitative field

2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience

Strong programming skills in Python and SQL

Experience building backend systems, APIs, data processing applications, or analytics platforms

Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as GitLab and Jira

Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment

Experience with React or other modern front end frameworks

Exposure to financial systems, trading environments, or financial data

Experience with AI, machine learning, or agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor

Experience building business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization solutions

Ability to combine technical expertise with strong business acumen and stakeholder collaboration skills
