Java Engineer

Princeton IT Services, Inc is seeking a skilled Java Engineer to join their development team. The role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise applications, requiring strong Java and SQL expertise.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications

Develop and optimize SQL queries and perform database operations using JDBC

Analyze application logs and troubleshoot production issues

Collaborate with developers and support teams to identify and resolve technical problems

Participate in application testing, debugging, and performance tuning

Support deployment and maintenance activities across development and production environments

Document technical solutions and follow development best practices

Preferred

Experience with Kafka or NATS

Experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Dynatrace, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, Chef Infra, or Chef Habitat

Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting (Bash, KSH)

Familiarity with Jira

Experience working in enterprise financial services environments is a plus

Strong proficiency in Java

Strong proficiency in SQL

Experience with Java JDBC operations
