Job description

You will join a small, dedicated team supporting and evolving a commercial AI chatbot platform. The platform is live, serving a field sales organization, and built on Python FastAPI, React, and multi-agent LLM orchestration running on Azure Container Apps. The work is a mix of production support, feature engineering, and platform operations. You will own delivery end to end within the client's existing Azure DevOps environment.

What You Will Do

Application engineering (primary)

  • Maintain and extend the FastAPI backend and React/TypeScript frontend
  • Develop and support multi-agent workflows: intent routing, product Q&A;, field scheduling, and analytics
  • Maintain compliance controls, policy enforcement, and audit logging
  • Support integrations with Microsoft Graph/Outlook, Veeva/Salesforce (OBO flows), and Microsoft Fabric
  • Manage the Markdown-based knowledge retrieval pipeline
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents from Sev 1 through Sev 4 within agreed SLAs
  • Deliver features from requirement through peer-reviewed PR, test, and release

Platform operations (secondary, as needed)

  • Operate Azure Container Apps across Dev, QA, and Production: deployments, revision management, rollback
  • Maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and Bicep infrastructure definitions
  • Manage Key Vault, Managed Identity, and secrets governance
  • Configure and maintain Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor alerting

What You Need

  • 6+ years in software engineering with Python and TypeScript/React as primary skills
  • Production experience building or operating agentic or LLM-based systems
  • Working knowledge of Azure Container Apps, Key Vault, Managed Identity, and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and MSAL authentication flows
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated environment with change governance and PR-gated deployments
  • US-based; available during US Central Time business hours

Preferred

  • Azure certification: Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Expert, or DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Experience with Anthropic Claude API or comparable LLM APIs
  • Familiarity with Veeva CRM, Salesforce Apex, or Microsoft Graph integrations
  • Prior work in pharma, life sciences, or commercial operations platforms
