Job description

DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in Irvine to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team on a direct-hire basis.

This is a hands-on FP&A opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the details behind the P&L, partnering directly with business leaders and helping improve financial processes within a growing and evolving organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with operating expenses, cost-center management, budgeting and forecasting, P&L analysis and financial business partnering. This person will be expected to take meaningful ownership of the OpEx side of the P&L and understand not only what changed but why it changed and what is driving the business.

This position is full-time and 100% onsite in Irvine, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of operating expense analysis and forecasting across multiple departments and cost centers.
  • Analyze the P&L and detailed GL activity to identify underlying drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and communicate budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis, investigating material variances down to the underlying account and transaction level.
  • Support and own components of the annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing planning processes.
  • Partner directly with department leaders and cost-center owners to develop assumptions, understand spending, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze key OpEx drivers including headcount, departmental spending, vendors, professional services, and other operating costs.
  • Translate detailed financial information into clear, actionable insights for Finance leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support monthly close and ensure financial results accurately reflect underlying business activity.
  • Prepare financial models, management reporting, KPIs, and other analysis used to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate FP&A reporting, forecasting, and financial processes.
  • Work with ERP and financial data across multiple sources to improve reporting accuracy and visibility.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as the organization continues to scale.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3–7+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpEx / SG&A and P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple departments or cost centers and partnering directly with budget owners.
  • Strong experience with annual budgeting, forecasting, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to move comfortably between high-level P&L analysis and detailed GL/account-level investigation.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and how operating activity ultimately impacts the P&L.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain financial results to both Finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • High degree of attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
  • Interest in joining an organization where the position can continue to evolve and expand over the next several years.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership within a growing Finance organization rather than simply producing reports. The Senior Financial Analyst will have direct exposure to Finance and business leadership and will play an important role in strengthening OpEx planning, cost-center accountability, forecasting and overall P&L visibility.

The company is looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization long term, take ownership of their area and continue expanding their responsibilities as the business evolves.
