Logistics Business Analyst

K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC is hiring a Logistics Business Analyst to improve logistics and supply chain efficiency, performance, and delivery outcomes. The role analyzes data and processes, develops reporting and improvement solutions, manages logistics projects, and coordinates with operations, IT, and other business teams.

Responsibilities

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and delivery performance

Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutions

Develop, document, and promote adherence to standard operating procedures across logistics teams

Build and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs such as delivery times, cost efficiency, and error rates

Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making

Conduct root-cause analysis for performance variances and recommend corrective actions

Partner with IT to develop and implement technology solutions supporting logistics objectives

Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance to align logistics strategies with company goals

Act as a liaison between logistics, IT, and business teams to ensure smooth solution adoption

Lead or support logistics-related projects from concept through implementation

Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate resources

Track and communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders

Ensure accuracy and consistency of logistics data

Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and company policies

Create documentation for system configurations, data flows, and process improvements

Preferred

Experience in product management or project management is a plus

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Equivalent: Master's Degree in Analytics

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or business analysis

Practical logistics and operational experience

Expert in SQL, Excel, and Snowflake

Experience in Power BI, Python, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE or similar)

Experience building analytics and complex reports

Familiarity with logistics software solutions such as BuildPro or equivalent

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Clear communication and presentation skills

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-based environment

Comfortable making data-driven recommendations to senior leadership

Ability to manage time-sensitive logistics operations with a sense of urgency and ownership

Experience in product management or project management is a plus
