Dell Technologies is hiring a Consultant, Services Project/Program Management to lead end-to-end customer data center deployment projects, including GPU and network rack installations. The role coordinates onsite delivery, manages risks and issues, and advises customers to ensure contracted outcomes and identify lifecycle value.
Responsibilities
Travel regularly to customer data center sites to lead deployment activities — including GPU, cabling, network, and large-scale compute rack installations — coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and maintaining hands-on visibility into daily workflows, shift activities, and site readiness
Serve as the customer's trusted advisor and value orchestrator, translating contracted scope into realized outcomes while acting as the primary onsite point of contact for deployment status, risk escalation, and issue resolution across logistics, installation, and construction readiness
Deploy predictive risk insights to identify early warning signals — such as schedule slippage, resource gaps, vendor delays, or site-readiness blockers — and intervene proactively to protect delivery timelines and customer confidence
Drive lifecycle value and expansion opportunities by maintaining a consultative lens throughout the engagement, providing clear daily and shift-level reporting to program leadership, and surfacing areas where additional Dell Technologies solutions can accelerate the customer's business objectives
Embrace change, emerging technologies, and AI-driven tools to continuously improve delivery methodologies, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder coordination across complex, multi-workstream data center deployments
Preferred
Hands-on familiarity with structured cabling in data center environments. This includes a practical understanding of connectivity topologies, common remediation processes, and the key steps involved in a clean customer handover
A genuine enthusiasm for AI, automation, and emerging technologies — particularly experience with AI data center networking technologies and high-performance fabrics such as InfiniBand, NVIDIA NVLink, and 400G/800G Ethernet. While detailed design and implementation expertise is not required, an understanding of these technologies supports more effective installation sequencing, cross-functional coordination, risk identification, and escalation management
Strong technical acumen that enables effective engagement with architects, engineers, vendors, and deployment teams. While these roles are not expected to perform technical design or implementation work, technical fluency helps build credibility, facilitates informed decision making, and allows the PM to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and drive discussions toward resolution rather than simply serving as an intermediary

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent deployment workstreams, balancing scope, schedule, cost, and quality — including daily task tracking, issue troubleshooting, and transparent reporting to program leadership
